The impact that DACA( Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) has had on immigrants and the economy of the USA cannot be underestimated. In a meeting with members of the Hispanic Caucus, Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly acknowledged that the program faced legal hurdles that would require the intervention of parliament to protect it. Members of the Hispanic Caucus, on the other hand, advocated for the passing of the Bridge Act to help preserve DACA.

One of the proposals put forward is that the program be phased off gradually.
