Hussain Sajwani is the chairman of DAMAC Properties Company which is a public limited company. It is an active participant in the Financial Market of Dubai and is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. DAMAC properties deal with engineering, construction & architecture and real estate. It is the largest private luxury developer in the Middle East engaging in the development of residential, leisure and commercial properties. Hussain Sajwani founded the company on June 20, 1976.

He took advantage of a decree by the Dubai government allowing non-Emiratis to own property therein to establish DAMAC Properties, a developer of real estate residential apartments. It was because Hussain Sajwani saw foreigners from most western countries as the primary buyers of the flats. In 2013, this company joined hands together with Donald Trump to develop two golf courses branded with the name of the latter. The same duo went into the celebration of the New Year’s Eve together also worked together on the Trump International Golf Club, where luxury villas have racked up almost $2 billion in sales.

Donald Trump then had to clear up the rumors and stated that he would make no deals after entering his term as the president of the United States. On the other hand, this did not worry the DAMAC Owner, Hussain Sajwani who claimed that his ties with Trumps extend beyond the president-elect. Hussain Sajwani indicated that the relations with Donald Trump stretched to his family and that Trump’s daughter Ivanka and sons Eric and Donald Jr were capable of handling the business deals. This relationship also extended to Hussain Sajwani family as the two families often enjoyed visiting each other.

Sajwani who attended the University of Washington is an authority in the field of property development. It has undoubtedly propelled Damac Properties to its success today with luxurious projects in big global cities like London and Dubai. The company has also not been left out in matters to do with philanthropy. For instance, Sajwani gave out an AED 2 million cheque to a campaign meant to clothe deprived children across the world.
